Miss Rouge became my 'nom de plume' quite some years ago to fulfil my increasing craving for red (rouge meaning red in English)!
French born, at the age of 18, I set out to travel the world for the next 14 years, gaining a richer and broader vision of artist practices and styles worldwide.
Based in Australia for the last 10 years, I dedicated my life to developing further my urge for creating. I have since completed a cert IV in fine Arts and digital media, as well as attending life drawing classes ever since settling in Australia.
A full time artist for 6 years, I have taken part in over 30 group shows and 12 solos.
These days, my strongest inspiration is the human form as well as textures and patterns. I explore their relationship in mixing Computer Art with traditional painting styles, combining and mediums incorporating different techniques to create visual imagery.
Lately, the need to tell stories through exploring the whimsical world, using the magic of watercolours is overwhelming.
I like to see my characters evolve in a world of fantasy, where they live free and unburdened by everyday life, like the essence of our deepest wish...........................
Ultimately, I am not the kind of artist who examines the everyday or comments on society, I am just about escapism!
The artist's paintings and prints can be found in numerous private collections in Australia and France.
